No. You only need a mailbox to send from. Everything else is optional.

Not unless you choose to. Contacts are checked against your CRM before anyone is reached.

Yes. Lookups through your own provider use your credits with that provider. When Rhenyx finds the contacts for you, they come out of your Rhenyx credits instead.
